Ruqyah is an excellent way for Muslims to protect themselves from any spiritual and physical harm. It is used to treat illnesses, including sorcery, evil eye, and sihr, as well as to exorcise jinns and devils. It also helps to increase Iman, build a connection with Allah and reaffirm our tawhidic beliefs for Him. It is recommended to seek medical solutions first before resorting to ruqyah, but it is a great option to consider when other treatments are unsuccessful.
It is important to note that the ruqyah must be done with pure intentions. It should be recited with full concentration and belief in the words of Allah. Moreover, it is important to have consistency in the recitation and du’a’ since consistency is essential for positive results.
In the Hadeeth, it is reported that a ruqi should be fluent in reciting the Quran and have strong belief and yaqin in its verses. He or she should also be a good and pious Muslim with a high level of taqwa and sabr. The ruqi should also be aware of the laws of islam when performing ruqyah and not go beyond what is allowed.
The ruqi should only use water in the ruqyah, especially zamzam and should read the verses from the Quran that are known to be effective in treating ailments. This includes the Names and Attributes of Allah and the verses from the Quran that cures various diseases. It is not permissible to use alum, herbs or other items in the ruqyah that do not fall under the law of Shari’ah. quran ruqyah
