The sequel to Revelations will be coming to Netflix in 2021, and it has been revealed that Lena Headey will be joining the cast. Mark Hamill will also return to play Skeletor. It has also been revealed that the film will conclude with the defeat of Evil-Lyn and the redemption of her.
Mark Hamill returns as Skeletor
If you’re a fan of Mark Hamill, you’ll be excited to know he’ll be back as Skeletor in the upcoming Masters of the Universe: Revelation on Netflix. He’s previously voiced the villain in several Batman and DC Comics animations, including The Joker.
He’s also a longtime voiceover artist. He’s voiced the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and in numerous video games. But his most famous role may be playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies. In recent years, he’s voiced the killer doll in the Child’s Play reboot.
As for the new series, it’s set to pick up after the events of the beloved ’80s cartoon. It will focus on the tense conflict between He-Man and Skeletor.
To get fans ready for the new series, Netflix has released a teaser trailer. It’s set to the song “Bonnie Tyler” and includes several battles, including a climactic fight between Skeletor and He-Man.
As you may have noticed, the trailer is packed with potential spoilers. Unfortunately, there is no official announcement regarding a second season. However, it looks as though the series will have its own aftershow special. This will be hosted by Rob David and feature a variety of voice actors.
Besides the main story of He-Man and Skeletor, the new Netflix series will also include some other iconic characters. For example, the Guardians of Grayskull will appear, as will Jason Mewes’s Stinkor. Additionally, Diedrich Bader’s King Randor will be part of the story.
Another character that will appear is Prince Adam, the son of Eternia’s ruling family. His Sword of Power is missing. When he uses it, he transforms into He-Man. Throughout his childhood, he has always relied on He-Man to keep magic in his kingdom.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation will begin on July 23, 2021. If you’re a fan of the classic ’80s cartoon, you’ll definitely want to watch it.
While the series has been renewed for a second season, there hasn’t been an official announcement. It’s also unclear if Chris Wood, who voiced He-Man in the first season, will return.
Lena Headey joins the cast
Lena Headey is set to join the cast of Netflix’s upcoming The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance animated series. She will voice Evil-Lyn. This is the latest addition to the series which will tell a story between the first film and the continuation of the original animated series.
Headey’s most recent television credit is HBO’s Game of Thrones. Her previous work includes “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” on Fox, “Band of Gold” on ITV, and “The Gathering Storm” on HBO.
Lena Headey will also be joining the cast of David Fincher’s upcoming Masters of the Universe film. In addition to her role as Evil-Lyn, she will also be voicing the title character’s daughter, Andra. Alicia Silverstone, Tiffany Smith, and Nathalie Emmanuel will also be starring in the film.
The casting of this film comes just after Netflix announced that it was bringing back the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon for the streaming service. Kevin Smith will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the reboot. His writing and directing credits include the “Chasing Amy” and “Clerks” series.
As part of the Masters of the Universe: Revelation, a direct sequel to the original Filmation animated series, the new animated series will feature an expanded voice cast. Mark Hamill, the original Joker from the Batman: The Animated Series, will reprise his role as Skeletor. Alan Oppenheimer will also be reprising his role as Moss Man. Dave Lamb will be serving as the Narrator.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance will also feature Simon Pegg and Eddie Izzard. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Liam Cunningham will be the voices of Teela and Man-At-Arms. Other stars included are Hannah John-Kamen, Taron Egerton, Stephen Root, and Henry Rollins.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is scheduled to debut on August 30. It will feature updated visual effects and classic puppetry. With a focus on unresolved storylines, the film is set between the first film and the continuation of the series.
Mark Hamill is known for his roles in the Star Wars and Batman: The Animated Series franchises. His work on the “Matrix” films also made him a star.
Revelations ends with Evil-Lyn defeated and redeemed
The end of Masters of the Universe: Revelations has a lot to offer fans. Among the highlights are the reborn Orko, the demise of the dragon (and possibly the reincarnation of Hordak) and the best of friends reunion. While the show is a bit long on the hype train, it does a good job of telling its story in an entertaining and kid friendly manner. In addition to the obligatory battle between the evil Skeletor and his troll doppelganger, the show also has its fair share of highs and lows. This is not to say that Revelations is the only show to make this list. It is, however, one of the few to boast a truly epic final act.
Masters of the Universe: Revelations does a great job of reintroducing the series to a new generation while allowing older characters like Orko and He-Man to get down and dirty and take center stage. Unlike the original, this version is able to tell its own story and does it in a way that’s not a tad unnerving for an audience of children. Aside from the main show, other notable players include the aforementioned Hordak, the swashbuckling Orko, the omnipresent Skeletor and the aforementioned Sorceress. Moreover, the show is able to meld the characters’ quirks and flaws into a unified narrative that’s more fun than the old fashioned sex. At the same time, the show lays the groundwork for a future trilogy of seasons. As such, the wait is nearly over for fans of the original. Revelations isn’t the most exciting Masters of the Universe cartoon to date, but it is certainly the most entertaining. Hopefully, this is a trend that’s destined to continue. To that end, the series’ best moments may be the most difficult to nail down.
Although the show doesn’t boast the most impressive final showdown, it is a delight to watch as it reveals the hidden mysteries of Skeletor and the aforementioned doppelganger. Revelations ends on a high, and if it’s any indicator, the show’s second season is sure to be as memorable.
